The VAL DI LAMA farm was set up way back in 1996 by the current owners. Originally, the land and outbuildings were quite dilapidated but thanks to the careful renovation and re-qualification of the land it was possible to set up one of the most important farms in the area.

Respect for traditions has remained top priority because that's how the quality of the extra-virgin olive oil comes from. Our olive trees are in fact nourished not only by the Mediterranean warmth but also by the wealth of know-how gained by the owners over the years.

The farm is located in Montecastello, near Pontedera (Pisa). It is surrounded by the lush green countryside between Valdera and the lower Valdarno, on a hill at a height of 150 metres a.s.l., in the heart of Tuscany. It is only a short distance from important cities of art such as Pisa, Florence and Lucca and also close to towns renowned for fine foods and wine such as San Gimignano and Siena.

The VAL DI LAMA farm covers around 20 hectares (50 acres) and relies on over 1,200 olive trees for a consistent production of olive oil that can grow over time. The position of the trees on different levels but above all the soil, which is rich in mineral substances, provides the best combination for a high quality oil.

We would be delighted to invite each of our customers personally to take a tour of our land, but knowing that this is impossible we have created a virtual aerial tour (aerial images at 360°) to offer a bird's eye view of our entire production area.
